Dr. Carlyle Smart

Dr. Carlyle Smart is a graduate of Life University, one of the top Chiropractic institutions in the world and a leader in the philosophy of vitalism, the idea that the body is a self-healing, self-maintaining organism which when free from interference will naturally gravitate toward a healthy and balanced state. With that background in mind, Dr. Smart aims to work with the body’s innate ability to heal, not only to address pain and dysfunction, but to encourage total health and optimum performance. Dr. Smart recognizes that pain and dysfunction are symptoms of underlying issues and so he aims to treat the source of the problem rather than merely addressing the symptoms. Dr. Smart encourages his patients to be active participants in their health covering topics such as exercise, stretching, hydration and nutrition and ensuring his patients are educated and informed about their care, bodies and condition. As an avid runner, he enjoys working with active individuals and athletes. He loves hearing from his patients who claim their care has improved their golf and tennis games! Dr. Smart utilizes a range of low force adjusting techniques specializing in Activator and Cox Flexion-Distraction as well as modalities which compliment the adjustment. He takes time to thoroughly assess each patient’s individual case, needs and preferences in order to determine the most appropriate and personalized course of care.
